Judy Winslow is the third and final short-lived child of Carl and Harriette Winslow, and she has an older sister, Laura Winslow, and big brother, Eddie Winslow. Judith "Judy" Winslow was a fictional character, on the hit sitcom, Family Matters, and was portrayed by Valerie Jones in the pilot, then Jaimee Foxworth (the second episode and so on) from 1989 until 1993, where she made her final appearance in the fourth season finale, Mama's Wedding. Crazy how they could delete a character slowly like that. It's kind of ****ed up that they just pretended she never existed. He's a seasoned actor who I'm sure can tackle this role with his own flavor and I fully support it.You know the little sister from the show Familiy Matters. I am totally willing to give Darius a chance. And you're absolutely right! If people educated themselves on the African diaspora they would understand we come in all shades and complexions. Thank you for agreeing! I was losing my faith in people there for a second. In soaps we are constantly asked to suspend belief and logic sometimes. It would serve some people well I must say, to find out about people different from themselves, whether the difference be color, nationality, handicapping condition, age, etc. I will add that I have a brother who is the new Malcolms complexion and his son, who looks just like him is almost Lily's complexion. I love your post, you said it all in a nutshell. It's a shame that this man's complexion is bothering some people so much. Not ignorant as in dumb but just ignorance about people of color or AA people I should say. I do believe there are several examples of recasts who look nothing like the original. Besides the fact that AA come in all shades and complexions, I don't think any recast has to look like the original actor.

I happen to be an African American with light skin and green eyes, and my mother is actually very dark skinned and beautiful. I just have to say, that is so ignorant to think, one can't be light skin and have a dark skinned parent.

None of these characters look like their so called relatives. To prove my point these characters are not dead ringers to their children or siblings in any way. No, Darius most certainly does not look like Shemar (not many men do ). Isn't this what are society is trying to get passed? Now I know many are saying it's the age thing but come on now. LOL :-)Now if you are looking at skin color shame on you. Maybe it's because the cast are NOT related in real life. I dunno, I don't think half of the YnR offspring look like their parents. Note to Darius, if you want to win the fans Darius just SANG son.

:~Īctually I first saw Darius in the movie "Somethin' To Sing About and the man is very talented. Sorry I must say that I was shocked at the casting of Malcolm.
